Subject: CD - cool, but can't dig
Hi all!
I have to write again, because i simply can't get any sound in USS
from the CD, and thats why i can't digitize samples from CD-s.
I've connected the CD audio output to GUSMAXs Panasonic/Mitsumi
CD in (i have an AZTECH). It sounds pretty good, but there's no
sound in USS. Please help!
My other problem is Mortal Kombat 2. I have a 486DX2/66, but the prg
is very slow. It loads too much at every movement. Does anyone have
an idea to make it faster?
Thanks in advance.

Having just tried the new request line gus-general-request@mail.orst.edu,
MajorDomo politely informed me that requests must be in the *body* of the
message, and *not* in the subject line as yesterday's info said. This
will imply that you can give more than one command per message, but will
confuse anyone who has learnt to subscribe/unsubscribe using the subject
line.
Notes from Moderator: Sorry about that, I will fix it now... Thanks for
noting that it doesn't use the subject line though
since I completely forgot about it..
Cheers,
Vince

news in version 1.5 (since v1.4):
Reworked user interface for Windows 95. Right mouse button based, uses the
registry, associates file types, uses long filenames, new icons, resizable
window frame et c. No longer uses CTL3D32.DLL since thats no longer necessary
for the 3D look. Will still run under Windows 3.1x with Win32s v1.1 and up but
will probably not look very good; Win32s v1.3 will probably fix that when its
out.
Instrument info box with info corresponding to a .DES file.
Improved Kurzweil KRZ support; fixed the sample rate and a few other things.
Now creates instruments from both the sample and the keymap level, since the
keymap, i.e. instrument, level doesnt always work....
Added AIF as export format.
Added SND as export format.
Added RAW as export format.
Fixed problem with not beeing able to launch WinHelp from arbitrary directories.
Assignes unique names for unnamed samples and instruments (fixes problem with
WaveFront based cards).
Fixed problem with unnamed instruments in .PAT files.
